    How do I run a tombola game?

    Numbers are printed on the inside of sealed easy to open tickets. The purchaser checks the number they have against the numbers displayed on the tombola poster. If any of these numbers match, they are a Winner and receive a prize – the size of the prize is marked on the poster. Winning and losing tickets are supplied already mixed but make sure you mix them again well – use one row of tickets at a time and destroy winning numbers tickets once your winner has taken their prize. Don’t let them drop on the ground for someone else to pick up!

    Peeky's Hints and Tips!

    • Check the contents of the game before your event; make sure you have everything listed!

    • Display ALL YOUR PRIZES when running your game. The more prizes your audience sees to win, the more they’re likely to play!

    • Always order enough sets to make a good display – you will sell many more tickets!

    • Unused prizes can be returned for credit. We give a FULL REFUND on all unused tombola game prizes! When returning unused tombola game prizes please include your customer code, name, address, contact number and a list of the items being returned. All we ask is that you pay for the return carriage! Better still why not sell off or raffle unclaimed products for profit!

    • Paint your volunteers faces or dress them in Fancy Dress and see the extra interest this generates! See our full fancy dress & facepaint

    • Make sure your volunteers are kept well fed and watered! Their energy & enthusiasm on the day can make a real difference to how much money you raise!

    • Buy some Lollies as extra consolation prizes for disappointed little ones!

    • Your volunteers should call out “Buy a ticket – try and win a prize!” When someone wins, shout out “WE HAVE A WINNER!!!” and attract more people to your game, more atmosphere = more profit!

    • Where possible, volunteers should stand out in front and to the side of their stalls with baskets when selling tickets.

    • Make your stall/pitch/table as eye-catching as possible by decorating it with bunting & balloons, more atmosphere = more profit! Why not play some music at your stall; it’s a really great way of attracting more customers!

    • Buy individual items as raffle prizes to raffle off at the end of your event to raise even more money… see our raffle tickets!

    • Consider purchasing extra star prizes, just in case your biggest prize is won earlier than expected. If you are left with prizes at the end they can still be used as raffle prizes!

    • Take some bin liners with you and use them as rubbish bins for used tickets – this stops littering and makes clearing up easier after your event… and is environmentally friendly!

    Happy birthday, Ma’am

    The Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations will bring Brits out in force to celebrate, according to one of the country’s biggest party supply companies.

    Peeks of Christchurch in Dorset has stocked up on its red, white and blue products in preparation for the demand.

    Managing director Nick Peek – the third generation of the family to run the firm - said the country’s celebrations will be the biggest since the Diamond Jubilee in 2012.

    The company has ordered 500miles of bunting, and enough union flags, garlands, balloons and street party paraphernalia to cover the nationwide event.

    The Queen’s birthday is on April 21 and the official celebrations will take place between May 12 and 15 and will include a pageant like the one for the jubilee.

    On June 11 is the Trooping of the Colour, which is the official celebrations of the Queen’s birthday, and on June 12 a giant street party will be held in The Mall, with plans for street parties to be held concurrently across the country.

    Nick said: “There are plenty of opportunities to celebrate the occasion and already schools, local authorities and businesses have been in touch to place orders.

    “We know from the Jubilee and the Royal Wedding that there is a huge interest in Royal occasions and Brits love an excuse to have a party.

    “This year is Peeks’ 70th birthday and over the years we’ve sold products for every Royal occasion and the interest never seems to drop.

    “We have Queen cut-outs, a variety of hats, face paints, posters, waistcoats and everything a party needs including party packs.

    “And for street parties we have table cloths, cutlery, plates, napkins and even sandwich racks.

    “We anticipate that this will be a huge occasion because the Queen herself is getting involved.

    “There was some interest last year when she became the longest ever serving monarch, but as she didn’t choose to mark that moment there weren’t massive celebrations.

    “This time it will be different and street parties – contrary to what you might hear – are simple to organise.”
